ABOUT:
The Young Leaders Program is a unique opportunity for young people to present their concerns about the current state of international society to today’s and yesterday’s leaders. “Youth Speaks, We Listen” is a set of panels held in the framework of the Global Baku Forum discussing present-day most difficult problems from the youth point of view. It is a unique forum for emerging leaders to creatively engage and connect with former and present heads of state exploring the many dimensions of leadership. The YLP aims to create an environment where young people from diverse backgrounds can cross-pollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes to push the world forward. The previous two editions of the Young Leaders Program addressed a myriad of issues from opportunities and consequences of a new sharing economy to challenges of social integration, from geopolitical consequences of climate change to cyber security, women rights and advancement of modern technologies.
During the Forum, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas about the best possible practices, experience, and knowledge in order to create a common standpoint regarding the main topics of the Forum via debates, group works and other interactive forms of discussion.
Throughout NGIC’s 5 years in existence, our meetings hosted in 20 countries, have brought together more than 100 current and former heads of State and Government, and hundreds of leaders from the public sector, private sector, Nobel Laureates, and civil society. They actively participated in sharing their wisdom on the most difficult issues of our times from “Building Trust for a Wider Europe”, to thinking about “New World Order” to designing more effective programs for “Shared Societies”, “Towards a Multipolar World”, “Addressing/Challenging Radicalization and Extremism with Interfaith Dialogue for Peace”.
Global Baku Forum has already become premier event in the region, providing an opportunity for bringing together distinguished leaders and thinkers to discuss the ways and means to overcome some of the world's most pressing challenges and to form multi-generational space for inspiring conversations around pressing global issues. The main topic of the VI Global Baku Forum is “Bridging Gaps to Create Inclusive Societies” and is to be held on March 15, 16 and 17 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
