From 16.09 to 24.09 representatives of Youth Contribution Public Union participated in the "He&She:Different but equal” youth exchange project organized with the support of EU Erasmus+ programme which took place in Fredrikstad, Norway.
The project involved 27 young people from 6 different countries- Azerbaijan, Turkey, Lithuania, Georgia, Jordan and Norway. The project aimed to engage men and women to actively participate in initiatives against gender-based discrimination and violence, as well as empower women to seek for equal rights in their lives. During the project participants enhanced their different skills and abilities through trainings, workshops and practical activities. All the activities and trainings were based on non-formal education method.
During the 8 days several activities such as workshops, forum theatre and interactive debates helped young people to have a deeper insight on Gender Equality. Participant also had a chance to be familiar with relevant issues taking place in partner countries.
Different activities were also used to help young people to improve their team-building skills.
